In one way or the other, as compared to the pre-agricultural (hunting and gathering) stage and the agricultural stage, progress in civil engineering structural activities affected the industrial stage (third stage) of evolution of civilization on the earth. All over the world, due to the emerging need for creation of various infrastructural facilities like roads, bridges, dams, buildings, airports, power plants and oil and gas exploration projects etc. to the comfort of human society mother earth’s environment degrading continuously. At this scenario, majorly civil engineers directly and indirectly by adopting suitable measures at every stage of construction activity in which they are involving can contribute to protect our environment and to achieve UNO’s sustainable development goals.

Keeping this in view, the department continuously trying to inculcate necessary programme outcomes in the students by effective utilization of its human and infrastructural facilities. Providing every important information like student’s monthly attendance, exam form filling, results declaration etc. to the students regularly.  Encouraging regular interaction among the students, parents and staff. Conducting Parents meet, extra- curricular and co-curricular events, industry interaction programmes etc. as and when needed. Also, conducting regular placement drives and Career Guidance programmes for the benefit of the students to exile in their career. Further, the department is having student’s grievance redressal cell to resolve the student’s academic related issues.

It is very happy to say that our students are placing in government organizations, leading firms and academic institutes.
